Opis Stanowiska:

The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of the EIB’s front-office application, carry out business analysis, manage data, and provide second level support to users of the front-office application.
S/he will report to the Head of Division and work in close cooperation with business experts from all user Directorates, the IT department, Data Integrity Assistants and first level user support.

The EIB lending process is supported by a front-office application to record and manage operations according to a well-defined workflow.
The data quality is mainly verified by querying the databases with the BusinessObjects reporting tool.
IT support and data analysis for EIB’s lending directorates are fully under the Information Systems and Applications Division’s responsibility.

Od kandydatów oczekujemy:

• Contribute to the preparation of User Specifications and Business Cases for new developments; contribute to their follow up
• Prioritise and prepare user requirements, specifications and Business Cases, autonomously
• Review front-office application workflows and propose improvements and/or simplifications, in consultation/cooperation with the Coordination Division, as appropriate
• Support the front-office application Maintenance Coordinator and, subject to a successful development on the post, act as his full back-up
• Carry out regular data quality checks to identify application incidents and/or data errors; contribute to ensuring integrity of data bases
• Filter and document application incidents, propose appropriate actions for correction and/or escalate change requests to the IT department, carry out the follow up
• Follow-up the implementation of change requests (on functional and administrative aspects) and liaise with users and the IT department on related issues
• Contribute to preparation of test cases, assuming these tasks autonomously
• Test corrections, enhancements and developments of the front-office application in the framework of new releases, in coordination with the IT department and users; ensure that test results are documented and problems solved
• Provide second level support to front-office application users in all operational directorates of the Bank
• Provide trouble-shooting and problem solving assistance; identify situations that will lead to system malfunctioning and, if necessary, contact users to inform them on how to proceed
• Cooperate with the other staff members of the division and the department; contribute to good teamwork in the Operational Support Department to facilitate the achievement of the division’s and the department’s objectives

The Business/Data Analyst works independently, seeking guidance on more complex issues from the Head of Division and senior members of the team.

Oferujemy:

• University degree
• At least 3 years relevant professional experience, in a Banking and/or IT related discipline
• Good knowledge and experience of front-office banking applications and good understanding of other IT business applications used in banks
• Good understanding of the activities and operational processes of operational and IT business units in banks
• Good knowledge of databases relevant for operational activities in the financial services industry
• Thorough knowledge of standard computer applications used in banks
• Very good knowledge of English or French and a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage
