Cloud Principal Application Engineer - Technical Lead

Technical Lead

Workplace : Wrocław

Responsibilities :

• Accountable for technical integrity of data integration and application architecture, data model and business rules
• Maintain alignment across the technical team including engineering & science, and remain closely aligned with the business consultants and domain experts as well
• Lead development team on the delivery project, effectively applying “do-learn-do” agile methodology and enforcing technical standards
• Create and execute technical work tasks for projects and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Design new application components or services to be built or customized, and look for opportunities to generalize into product capabilities
• Work with project manager to identify, plan, and obtain technical resources for the engagement
• Be responsible for overall technical quality of the application
• Inspire team members to attain goals and pursue excellence while regularly acknowledging contributions

 Requirements:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline
• At least 8 years of commercial software architecture and development experience, and proficiency with enterprise, web-based software technologies
• Unix scripting required, Python desired
• SQL - query/database tuning
• HTML5/JavaScript/CSS/React and Java for app development
• Experience with data modeling techniques and decision automation
• Expert in relational databases, multi-dimensional databases, OLAP, ETL, NoSQL databases and concepts
• Expert with SOA, web services and REST
• Experience with cloud platforms e.g. AWS, Google, Azure
• Proficient in UNIX-based development environments and command line
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience leading teams in agile development methodology
• Experience and understanding of retail operations domain (including: planning, forecasting, and supply chain) is a plus
• Experience with declarative programming languages is a plus (e.g. Haskell, ML, Datalog, Prolog)
