General Accountant

Job location: Warsaw, Poland

Our client is a leading global provider of insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management which is expanding its presence in Poland with the creating of a finance Centre of Excellence for EMEA.

Major responsibilities:

• Work within a large team to ensure accurate completion of general and expense accounting for a number of countries across EMEA
• Complete accurate posting and reporting analysis of financial transactions within strict deadlines to ensure completion of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Perform and review reconciliations and journal entries
• Support the transfer pricing / allocation process
• Maintain adherence to internal Accounting and Operational policies
• Summarise expense results and items affecting the EMEA region in a clear and efficient format
• Conduct other ad hoc requirements as they arise

Expectations:

• Approximately 3+ years financial services experience ideally in the Shared Services Center
• English language skills
• Strong Excel skills essential
• Ability to meet tight and regular deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good attention to detail and experience of finance controls
• Team player who can also work on tasks independently and able to integrate quickly into a busy finance team
• Other European languages is an advantage
