PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As part of the Systems Group of Samsung SDS Europe Ltd (SDSE), the main responsibility of the role is to provide Web Hosting service to the Samsung affiliates in Europe, Middle East, Africa and CIS.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To provide technical guidance and support toSamsung on-line managers, marketers, promotion manager and webapps productive people
• Web/WAS softwareinstallation, configuration& change management.
• Release/Update program and build process to production and troubleshoot-out
• Manage websites information and generate periodic reports

KEY LIAISONS:

• IT managers and staffs in the Samsung affiliates of UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and CIS.
• Data Centre managers and staffs
• SDSE Helpdesk
• Third party engineers
• Authorised suppliers

DIMENSIONS:

• Maintain good and strong relationships with all key liaisons

EDUCATION:

• Degree (BSC Hons) or equivalent & relevant experience in a similar role

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Experience inIIS, .NET, ASP, PHP, MS-SQL, Windows OS
• Experience inApache, Tomcat, JVM, MySQL, LINUXbeneficial
• Experience inWebsite development beneficial
• Experience in Security administration
• Experience in Docker, Container and Kubernetes
• Experience in Devops, CI/CD including Jenkins and build process knowledge
• Knowledge of database, applications, and web server design, implementation
• Understanding of Firewall technology
• Understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols
• Network basic knowledge or experience
• Must hold a full driving license and have own car for possible Emergency call outs
• Must be eligible to work in the UK or hold a valid work permit
• Ability to liaise with internal and external customers at all levels
• Self-started, able to work under own initiative and proven ability to work

in a team-orientated environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill are required
• Well presented, professional and excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours during peak periods
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate and build rapport with colleagues, and clients

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years of Webhosting experience
• Industry recognised associate-level+ cloud certifications, and minimum 6 months of Public Cloud hands-on experience
